The prize winner of the Golden Opportunity Foundation 2019 GO Getaway Raffle will be able to select up to five other Golden Opportunity Foundation 2019 GO Getaway Raffle Ticket Holders and leave during the Up Up and Away: A Suitcase Affair Event on Friday, August 23, 2019. Prize winner and guests will be flown on a private jet to spend a weekend (Friday, August 23 – Sunday, August 25, 2019) in New York City. While in New York City, the Prize winner will stay in a suite and have rooms for guests at the Mondrian Park Avenue. A private dinner at the Jue Lan Club in New York City will be hosted for the winner and guests as well as nightlife activities.

The Golden Opportunity Foundation 2019 GO Getaway (“Raffle”) is being conducted by The Golden Opportunity Foundation (“GOF”), a not-for-profit charitable organization.  The Raffle is being conducted pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code Section 2915.01, to raise funds for ongoing charitable purposes.  The Golden Opportunity Foundation 2019 GO Getaway Raffle Official Rules and Regulations (the “Official Rules”) are set forth below.  The Raffle Ticket Holder acknowledges that he or she is aware of, and agrees to be bound by, these Official Rules and GOF’s interpretation of any such Official Rules.  GOF shall be responsible for interpreting and applying the Official Rules.  GOF’s interpretation and application of such rules shall be final. By entering, participants (a) agree to be bound by the Official Rules, (b) that the decisions of the judges are final on all matters relating to the Raffle, (c) release Sponsor and its agents and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability, loss, or damage arising out of their participation in the Raffle or with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Raffle or change any element thereof, with or without notice, at any time, due to printing errors or other mistakes in the production of the Raffle.

Eligibility

Any individual who is 21 years of age or older and has a First Class Ticket to the Up Up and Away: A Suitcase Affair Event on Friday, August 23, 2019, is eligible to enter the Raffle.  GOF’s employees are excluded from participating in the Raffle and are ineligible to win a prize.  All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.  The Raffle is void where prohibited by law.

How to Enter

Participants that have a First Class Ticket Registration to the Up Up and Away: A Suitcase Affair Event on Friday, August 23, 2019, will have a Raffle Ticket entered into the raffle.  Only one (1) eligible person may be entered in the Raffle per Ticket.  If the name of more than one (1) person is provided on a Raffle Ticket entry form and that Raffle Ticket is disqualified.  The division of any prize among a group of persons shall be to the sole responsibility of the person named as the holder of record of that Raffle Ticket should that Raffle Ticket t be selected as a winner.  GOF is not responsible for resolving any disputes that may arise from different individuals regarding a winning Raffle Ticket.
Raffle Tickets will be available until Friday, August 23, 2019, at 4:00 pm est. Raffle Tickets are subject to availability. 

Raffle Ticket entries are available at http://www.asuitcaseaffair.com. Follow the instructions to complete the registration for a First Class Ticket for the Up Up and Away: A Suitcase Affair for an automatic Raffle Ticket entry ($250.00 Value) in the Golden Opportunity 2019 GO Getaway Raffle.

Upon receipt and acceptance by GOF of a proper entry form, a Raffle Ticket with a Raffle Ticket number will be made available to the First Class Ticket holder of the Up Up and Away: A Suitcase Affair Event. Raffle Ticket information will be based on the First Class Ticket holder information provided to GOF including name, address and email address provided by the First Class Ticket of the Up Up and Away: A Suitcase Affair Event. 

Prior to the Grand Prize Drawing, GOF may make a reasonable effort to notify the individual of a rejected or disqualified entry by attempting to make contact through the information provided. Neither GOF nor its directors, officers, employees, agents or other representatives assumes any responsibility or liability for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible or undelivered entries, or any other failure to receive entries, or any failure to deliver a receipt of First Class Ticket of the Up Up and Away: A Suitcase Affair Event prior to the drawing deadline.

Prize Drawings

Prize drawings will be conducted by a representative of GOF at the Up Up and Away: A Suitcase Affair Event on Friday, August 23, 2019. For more information regarding the event go to http://www.asuitcaseaffair.com. Entrants must be present to win.  Winners will be selected at random. GOF has the option to announce the time of drawing during the event.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Airport taxes and carrier-imposed fees are the responsibility of the passengers. Hotel incidentals are the responsibility of the prize winner and guests.

Prizes may not be exactly as described, are based on availability and GOF may substitute with a prize of similar value.  The Prize Winner will directly coordinate prize delivery with Slang Marketing Group, LLC the raffle prize coordinator.

Any gratuities, taxes, and fees are the responsibility of the winner.  Winners of travel-related prizes must comply with all applicable requirements and restrictions related to said prizes including, without limitation, applicable travel dates, travel documentation, and reservation and confirmation procedures.

Substitutions

Under no circumstances will any Raffle Winner be allowed to request substitution, alteration, or exchange of any prize be offered by GOF.  The Grand Prize, as described above, will not be substituted, exchanged or altered in any fashion.

Notification of Winners

The winner will be notified at Up Up and Away: A Suitcase Affair Event on Friday, August 23, 2019. After reasonable attempts to make contact through the information provided, such winner will be deemed to have donated their prize to GOF if contact is unsuccessful.

A copy of the winners’ list and of these Official Rules may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: The Golden Opportunity Foundation, Inc, 5247 Wilson Mills Road, #323, Cleveland, OH. 44143   Requests must be received within 30 days of the close of the Raffle.

Winning Odds

The odds of winning a prize will depend on the number of Raffle tickets distributed. For example, if 400 tickets are distributed the odds of winning the Grand Prize is 1 in 400.

Non-Deductibility of Raffle Ticket

Each Raffle ticket is valued at $250.00. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not gifts, and consequently, the purchase of a Ticket does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution.

Taxes

There may be federal, state and/or local tax consequences of winning a prize in this Raffle.  Any and all taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.  Each Raffle Ticket Holder is advised to consult his or her own tax advisors with respect to tax liabilities that may arise from winning a prize in this Raffle.  Winners of prizes of $1,000 or more may be required to submit a W-2G, Form 5754 or similar tax form (provided by GOF) for tax withholding purposes.

Terms and Conditions

The Raffle is subject to these Official Rules.  These Official Rules cannot be changed by any oral statement made by any employee, consultant or agent acting on behalf of GOF.  By entering this Raffle, entrants accept and agree: (1) to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of GOF which shall be final and binding; (2) waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Raffle or these Official Rules; and (3) that GOF may use the entrant’s name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice and city of habitation for promotional or advertising purposes in connection with the Raffle on a worldwide basis and in all forms of media, now or hereafter known, in perpetuity, without review, permission or further compensation, except where prohibited by law.  Other rules and regulations may apply.  Please contact GOF if you have any questions.  This Raffle is void where prohibited by law.

BY ENTERING THIS RAFFLE, EACH ENTRANT RELEASES GOF, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ATTORNEY’S FEES) CAUSED BY PARTICIPATING IN THE RAFFLE OR WINNING ANY PRIZE OR RESULTING FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE, AND EACH WINNER AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD GOF HARMLESS FROM ANY AND ALL LOSSES, DAMAGES, RIGHTS, CLAIMS, AND ACTIONS OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM, IN CONNECTION WITH, OR AS A RESULT OF PARTICIPATING IN THE RAFFLE OR THE WINNER’S ACCEPTANCE OR USE OF ANY PRIZE.

A RAFFLE ENTRANT’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY CLAIM AGAINST GOF ARISING OUT OF THE SALE OF TICKETS OR THE CONDUCT OF THE RAFFLE SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE RETURN OF THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID FOR HIS OR HER TICKET(S).  IN NO EVENT SHALL GOF, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR REPRESENTATIVES BE LIABLE TO ANY PARTY FOR ANY LOSS OR INJURIES TO EARNINGS, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Cancellation/Termination of Raffle

Raffle Ticket participant acknowledges and agrees that GOF has the right, in its sole discretion, to elect not to proceed with the Raffle for any reason whatsoever or for no reason, and in such event, a participant’s sole and exclusive remedy shall be to receive a refund of the full price ($250.00) by such participant for each Raffle Ticket, without interest.
